The Road Ahead

We always have a choice, we can always make a decision, but is that what we should do? We can always do what is easy. But what seems simple isn’t always that. Simple tends to cost us. Why is that?

I understand that I don’t know what the future holds or what is ahead of me. We can only put one foot in front of the other, step by step. My trust is in my Creator, who has a plan for my life, already in place. All I have to do is walk it out. I believe He navigates me through terrain that I may have not been intended to have to go thru. Whether it was based on my own choices, decisions, or the culture of this world. Whatever it is He said He will never leave me nor forsake me.

I sometimes ask, how do we know what is and what will be if we don’t know what was? But, it’s something not for me to dwell on. We don’t need to dwell on things and leave ourselves stuck. Nor is it for us to find ways to cope with our behavior or character by justifying and pacifying our actions. It’s for us to accept that we don’t know and know we need direction and guidance. The seconds and days before us bring about a lasting impression whether good or bad.

So….How do we move forward? How do we become better than we were yesterday? How do we move towards your plan and purpose for this world? For our lives?

Excellence, excellence is your name, oh God. Excellence. One day at a time. One step at a time. We listen for Your direction and instruction. We work in excellence the daily portion You give to us.
