Our Fight
We tug and pull and fight with God…for what? Why? Are we that adamant? About what? Jacobs wrestling with God shows our pivotal moment in life…It almost reveals our maturity or turning towards maturity in standing on what’s right and important…not for frivolous things…but in knowing He is God and can do and grant all things…so come correct.
Our passion and God meets and collides at the wrestling place… a place of recognition. We are here for God and because of God, so we accept our tasks and responsibility with a request for His blessing on every step we take in accepting His will for our lives. We say, I do but with extreme desire and calling for His never ending knowledge, love, wisdom, and faith. It begins our true journey of love and faith. We have to take inventory, stock of our lives…
What are we wrestling with, especially that which won’t go away? We have to question if we are wrestling with a thing, person, self, or with God. When with God, He will continue with the same strength never losing power and can cripple you like Jacob was crippled… but most importantly we have to hear God say… this is it… that moment… this is so we can accept, we can give in to God and ask for His blessing in His request. We ask for His strength, wisdom, and love. We ask that we be more like Him and less like us. We make our covenant and vow to obey and do what is His will and not our knee jerk being.
We come under His love and protection, and are completely with Him in it. We walk in each day, good or bad, with the knowledge that what God started He will finish.
He will never leave me or forsake me. No weapon formed against me will prosper.
In Jesus’ name. Amen.
