New Level Being

We have to constantly move forward. Why, you ask? Because we move into the newness with Christ. How? When we choose Him we choose to do better. Thus, there is a renewing of the mind.

How and why is there a renewing of the mind? Well we learn from old ways and experiences as we grew up as children. We took on our own experiences that most of the time got vetted through old experiences and behaviors, and therefore, produced and maybe still producing a cycle of oldness. I don’t know about you but I do not want to stay stuck in old ways and patterns. Especially, if these old ways and patterns do not make me better but keep me stuck.

But when Jesus enters in, because we believe in Him and allow Him to do a great work in and thru us, newness comes about. Newness cannot share a space with the old especially if it at odds and contradictory. Change produces new, new draws us closer, newness in God…allowing for us to produce excellence, love, and purpose. His correction and direction is to bring out the very best in us, not to hold us down or back. He wants to propel us to new heights.

So, we begin with His Word and what He says about us and who we are to Him. As His Word permeates His voice in our everyday lives becomes clearer to us. For He said my sheep hear my voice. When we hear and know His love and care, we can better understand His desire for the best version of us.
