experience doesn’t make me

We don’t know what to expect out of life. We have an expectation of goodness and great things coming our way. But we really don’t know what to expect or even fully understand what it all comes down to. We know we are alive and there are things we are to accomplish and experience, but what it all adds up to gets unveiled as we live our lives. we look for the big events to point us in the right direction, but it’s the simple things that are major impasses or building blocks to so much more.

Now there are always someone with an opinion on life, whether right or wrong. And people tend to steer you based on their perspective and truth. But we, ourselves, have so much to learn. It starts with our true appreciation for what you have and love. Appreciation is core, essential, it is what we should automatically do.

However, when we sometimes think of better, bigger, next level, we take for granted or disqualify what has already been established. In some cases we do need to move and let go. But the only determining factor in making those decisions is God because He is the only being that knows the end from the beginning. He made us and He does not make any junk.

We serve a purpose. God has a plan. Our life is more. Our lives are way more. More than we could say, be, and do. More than the opinions of those around us. More than those who claim to know us. More than a thought, action, or talk. We are more than the sum of our parts but yet we disqualify, under value, and negate who we are and are called to be. Don’t you know we are called to greatness, yet we sometimes do lower than we are called to.

”Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is - His good, pleasing, and perfect will.” (Romans 12:2)

Thus putting aside what we believe based on the examples before us and we should push towards the higher calling. Looking at all things uncharted with hope and expectation for a new thing to be done in us and through us. To be living examples of who God is and what He is about. So that God gets the Glory in all of who we are and do.

We are more than the sum of our parts. More than a word whether positive or negative. We are full of life and being, and can do all things that are pleasing to God beyond measure.

We are more, we can do it.

Everything someone wants you to settle for, you can do better.

In Jesus’ name. Amen.
