Quiet as Kept... Love Like No Other
Quiet as kept.
Quiet and still.
Sssh, no one is suppose to know you are here.
No voice,
No thought,
No place in the world.
Just a shadow of being.
Why so glum?
Why so gloom?
Why did you hold on tight to it?
Why did you masquerade it like it was your own?
Unkept.
Unloved.
So hurt and out of touch.
No words can console.
Naked and all alone.
Bound by your thoughts and cloaked in a feel.
Unknown to you and unknown to the world.
Gagged and left for dead,
Bearing all your pain and secrets.
Locked away.
The silence is unbearable, too hard to hear
Thoughts want to overtake you,
Trying to decide your every move.
Constrained, confined, and pre-defined.
Or so they thought…
We are more than what is thought,
We are more than what is said,
We are more than what lies in another’s bed.
Our voice can’t be silenced.
Our moves will not be checked.
We are the beauty of His Greatness
And valued more than we will ever understand.
We are loved.
We are love.
